Privacy policy
CanadaPharma24x7 follows the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) for any health information you share with our pharmacists. If you live in Quebec, we also respect your rights under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
Who is accountable
Our Privacy Officer is responsible for how we handle your information. Contact: privacy@canadapharma24x7.ca.
What we collect
- Your name, date of birth, phone, email and delivery address
- Health information you choose to share with our pharmacists (for example allergies or medications you take, when you ask a question)
- Order, payment and delivery records. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number
- Basic technical information (IP address, device) to keep the site secure
Why we use it
To supply products safely, give pharmacist advice, deliver your orders, answer your questions, meet legal record-keeping duties, prevent fraud, and, only if you opt in, send offers.
Who we share it with
Only who's needed to serve you: our courier partners (name, address and phone only), Stripe for payments, and regulators or police when the law requires it. We never sell your information.
Where it's stored
Your information is stored on secure servers in Canada, encrypted in transit, and accessed only by authorized staff who need it for their job. Every access to the admin system is logged.
Your choices and rights
- See or get a copy of your information, and ask us to correct it
- Withdraw consent to marketing at any time (every email has an unsubscribe link). We only send marketing emails if you opted in, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
- Ask us to delete your account. We'll delete what we can; records we're legally required to keep (such as tax records) are retained for the required period
- Quebec residents can also ask about data portability and automated decisions
Cookies
We use only cookies that the site needs to work (your cart, sign-in and security). We don't use advertising cookies or sell browsing data.
Breaches and complaints
If a privacy breach could cause you significant harm, we'll tell you and report it to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario as required. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
